Showdown Set for McCain and Letterman
Sen. John McCain launched his presidential campaign on the Late Show with David Letterman.
Will he end it there as well?
After canceling an appearance last month and causing some bruised feelings on David Letterman's part, McCain is coming back to the Late Show this Thursday, Oct. 16, to face the music, courtesy of Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra.
The Jonas Brothers Cowboy Up
The Jonas Brothers just scored.
The singing siblings are set to provide the live halftime entertainment for the Dallas Cowboys matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27. The game, a tradition as much as the post-turkey nap, could probably use a boost of Jo de vivre, especially considering the Seahawks are currently 1-4 this season.
But more than just candying your yams, the Dallas-born brothers aim to do good as well: They'll kick off the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Christmas Campaign, which raises money (last year $118 million!) to feed, clothe and provide toys to nearly 29 million Americans.
In years past, the talent has included Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow, Destiny's Child, Toby Keith, LeAnn Rimes, Creed, Jessica Simpson, Billy Gillman, Clint Black, Randy Travis and Reba McEntire.
Which Sci-Fi Series Should Return Next?
Now that it's been announced that V is coming back to join other recently revived sci-fi franchises such as Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who and the upcoming J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot, the logical question is: What long-lamented sci-fi show ought to be next?
Should the kids from Roswell (at left) be brought back, or something else?

J.Lo & Marc: Magic and Marriage Redux in the Air
Friday night, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony mugged with Criss Angel following his show in Vegas. The following day, the twosome worked their own magic.
The superstar couple completed Marc's 40th birthday celebrations by renewing their wedding vows at approximately 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the Forum Tower Penthouse at Caesars, sources tell E! News.
Lopez, 39, and Anthony got hitched in her L.A. backyard on June 5, 2004, just five days after Anthony's divorce was complete. (Those historically minded readers may remember that Anthony also renewed his vows with first wife Dayanara Torres in 2002, two years before their split.)
No official comment from the happy couple about the redos, but let us be the first to say: Cheers!

Quarantine, Chihuahua Shut Down DiCaprio, Crowe
Leonardo DiCaprio? Russell Crowe? Nope.
If you wanted a movie star that turned on—and turned out—the young audience this weekend, then your best option wasn't DiCaprio or Crowe, or their A-list-credentialed Body of Lies.
"I think they went for Quarantine, obviously," Exhibitor Relations box office analyst Jeff Bock said today.
Travis Barker From Hospital Bed: "Every Step's Huge"
Three weeks after narrowly surviving a Learjet plane crash, Travis Barker has taken to his MySpace blog to thank fans for their support and to update them on his condition.
"Like the doctors said from the beginning, its [sic] been a slow recovery process. I am coming up on the 7th of my surgeries Monday," the former Blink-182 drummer wrote Saturday.
"Today I finally was able to move all my fingers on my right hand. Every step seems huge at this point, and I'm doing EVERYTHING I can possibly do to get back to my kids. Yes, I did start eating meat again, but if it helps me to be home holding my little humans sooner, than its all worth it."
Cheryl Burke: Weighty Issues
Dancing with the Stars hoofer Cheryl Burke certainly doesn't sidestep the heavy issues about her weight that have been swirling through the news lately in this exclusive interview with E! News. Our high-steppin' heroine says she sees no need to be a size zero. And the two-time Dancing champ looks as light on her feet as ever with partner Maurice Greene in rehearsal. Mad props to CB!
Poll: Name Britney's Next Fragrance Now
For Britney, fragrance is the sweet smell of success. Witness the fact that she just realeased her seventh scent: Hidden Fantasy (read all about it here). The other six being, of course: Curious, Fantasy, In Control, Midnight Fantasy, Believe and Curious Heart.
Which got us to thinking: If she's done seven fragrances already, we know that she'll eventually do eight.
But what will she name it? Take our poll below or show us you've got more real scents than we do by naming one for her in the comments section.

Jay-Z Fee to Par-tay Crashes in U.K.
The economic crash has made life tough all over. Stocks are sinking, jobs are scarce and folks' retirement accounts are dwindling.
Now, the downturn is even affecting the vital partying sector of the economy. According to TheLondonPaper's blog, hip-hop mogul Jay-Z couldn't scare up his usual $50,000 pay-to-par-tay fee this weekend in England, where he's promoting the NBA New Jersey Nets (of which he's a part owner).
Even after the rapper dropped his price to $13,000, there were reportedly no takers, with a club source telling the rag, "At this rate he might even have to party for free.”
The horror...the horror.
