The half-century milestones this week for Michael Jackson and last week for Madonna got us to thinking: Which 50-year-old stars have the biggest upsides?
This isn't just about who's the hottest, but who will have the hottest career going forward. Take the poll below and give us your two cents in the comments section. Even Michael Jackson Grows Up…Doesn't He?
When he was 15, Michael Jackson wondered in song if he'd grow up to walk on the moon. In a way, he did.
Now 50, Jackson is an unrivaled icon—a 13-time Grammy winner with more than 750 million records sold, and a score of moves as instantly recognizable as his songs.
Jackson, the former Jackson 5 prodigy who seemed beyond growing up, much less growing old, told Good Morning America he planned to mark his middle-aged milestone today with a "little cake with my children," adding, "We'll probably watch cartoons."

Lindsay's B-day Goal: Happy, Healthy, Rihanna-y Year
Lindsay Lohan's private life has gone through some rather public growing pains over the past few years. And now, newly 22 years of age, the only growing she wants to do in public is of the professional variety.
Speaking to E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show this morning, hours after her prom-themed birthday bash, Lohan discussed her plans for the year ahead which, she said, could be summed up in two words: "focusing and working."
"I just wanna live a happy, healthy year, and continue on the path that I've been on. And, you know, be with the person that I care about, and my family, and I think that's it."
Gossip Guy Turns 21 Minus His Costar

A little gossip doesn't bother Ed Westwick.
"I just laugh it off," he tells People about the rumors that he and his Gossip Girl costar (and roommate) Chace Crawford are more than just friends.
"People who know me and Chace and the cast know that we are all great friends," Ed tells the mag. "And that's the extent of it all. Those things that go around are just amusing to us, really."

Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday bash isn't until Friday, but celebs are already flocking to London to fete the former South African president.
Will Smith (who's emceeing Friday's event) and Jada Pinkett Smith were just two boldfaced names in attendance at a prebirthday dinner party held in Hyde Park. Also on the list: Oprah Winfrey, Uma Thurman, Forest Whitaker, Kim Cattrall and Denzel Washington.
And yes, Naomi Campbell will be in the house on Friday.

Supportive Pete Celebrates His B-Day Sans Cocktails
Pete Wentz turned 29 yesterday and marked the occasion with a big bash at Foxtail with new wife Ashlee by his side. And although the dad-to-be has lots of reasons to celebrate, a source says he never raised a glass the entire evening.
Looks like Pete's not drinking because Ash can't either...How sweet!
Even without booze, the birthday boy seemed to have a great time. Although Brent Bolthouse had the entire upstairs area reserved exclusively for their party, Pete and Ash spent most of their time downstairs, chatting and shaking hands with regular folks.
