Just when it seemed like Peter Cook couldn't do anything else to piss off Christie Brinkley...

The model has made good on her threat to launch legal action against her ex-hubby in the wake of his sit-down with Barbara Walters—a violation of a court order preventing either side from publicly blabbing about their marriage—by filing a request for a temporary restraining order against her former spouse.

The request, filed in New York's Suffolk County Court yesterday, was an attempt to prevent Cook's scheduled visitation with the duo's children from taking place this weekend, as it would come in the immediate aftermath of tomorrow night's highly publicized 20/20 interview.

"They wanted to suspend Cook's visitation for this coming weekend because they had word that there was going to be an interview with Barbara Walters tomorrow evening with Mr. Cook, and they didn't want the children exposed to that," Cook's attorney, James Winkler, tells E! News.

The request was denied.

A court document filed in Suffolk County, N.Y., last Friday has finalized the cover girl's divorce from philandering hubby Peter Cook.

Back in July, the 54-year-old model and the 49-year-old architect faced off in a court battle royale that included emotional talk of pornography, affairs and therapists.

Alex Rodriguez apparently doesn't want anything to think about once the season ends.

The baseball star and his estranged wife, Cynthia, have called a truce and nipped in the bud what had the potential to be a pretty messy divorce, considering how it all began.

"Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings," A-Rod's attorney, Alan Klug, said in a statement to the New York Daily News.

"They deliberately engaged in a private negotiation. This was and remains a personal family matter for both of them."

"All of their decisions were based upon and guided by the best interests of their daughters," Klug added. Alex and Cynthia are parents to Natasha, 3, and Ella, 5 months.

Donnie Wahlberg's wife of more than eight years, Kim Fey Wahlberg, has filed for divorce from the comeback-minded boy bander, citing the ever popular "irreconcilable differences."

And while his missus was filing divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Aug. 13, the 39-year-old singer was doing the same in Ventura County.

The couple have apparently been living separate lives for much longer, with the court documents indicating they have been estranged since January.

"I can confirm that the couple are divorcing," Wahlberg's publicist told E! News. "They have been separated for almost a year but remain close friends."

Just four days after a scary vehicle-flipping, surgery-requiring crash comes news that the 71-year-old Oscar winner is engaged in a "divorce action" with his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee.

Freeman's business partner and attorney Bill Luckett broke the news, telling the Memphis Commercial-Appeal newspaper there is a "divorce action pending," but refusing to give further details.

Luckett added that the actor and his wife, a costumer, has been separated for the better part of the past year.
