Atlanta Housewives' NeNe: "I Was Not Evicted!"
Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes insists reports of her being evicted from her home have been greatly exaggerated.
"I am truly blessed to enjoy a wonderful life and lifestyle," NeNe said in a statement released earlier today. "We have indeed moved to another home, but we did so on our own free will. We live in an absolutely beautiful home and we are fortunate to be able to live in the place of our choice."
Local reports out of Georgia earlier this week alleged the family was kicked to the curb because they owed $6,240 in past rent.
Secret Millionaire Richer Than Grammy Special
Rich people doing good deeds or rich people singing each other's praises—guess who proved more popular?
Secret Millionaire, the new Fox reality series, got off to a solid start Wednesday, averaging 7.4 million viewers for its two-hour premiere, Nielsen estimates said.
Going head-to-head against CBS' first-ever Grammy nominations concert from 9-10 p.m., Secret Millionaire handily beat the special in total viewers (8 million vs. 7.1 million) and adults 18-49.
The Grammy special was so weak, especially compared to Criminal Minds, which usually occupies the time slot for CBS, that ABC's Private Practice (7.8 million) and NBC's Life (8.1 million) both easily overpowered it.
Shocker! O.J. Asks for Minimum Prison Time
O.J. Simpson's defense team doesn't want the Juice squeezed too tight.
The infamous footballer's lawyers have requested the bare minimum sentence for the litany of robbery and kidnapping convictions Simpson faces in the wake of his memorabilia heist, asking that he receive six years in prison rather than officials' recommended 18 years in the slammer.
"Simpson has never previously been convicted of a crime," the 61-year-old's attorney, Gabriel Grasso, said in court papers. "Thus, he now stands before the court as a first-time offender."
In the court, yes. In the court of public opinion, not even close.
John Mayer Muses While Jonas Brothers Party
On the same day Jennifer Aniston told EW she's longing for motherhood, John Mayer's biological clock seemed to be on his brain at an exclusive Grammy nomination concert.
Before breaking into "Stop This Train," John reflected on Thanksgiving with his family and how his dad is shorter every time he sees him. "You realize time doesn't like you more than anyone else," the 31-year-old said of the aging process. "Now we're holding up people who used to hold us up when we were little babies."
After receiving a standing ovation, the formerly media-friendly rocker skipped the pressroom and party following his concert. Was he running off to meet Jen? The Jonas Brothers, on the other hand, stuck around to celebrate their very first nomination...
Natalie Portman Stomps Out Shoe Line
Natalie Portman is a sole sister no more.
Proving that not even celebrities are immune to the country's economic crisis, the actress' vegan shoe line of less than a year, the Natalie Portman Collection for Té Casan, has closed up shop, making it even more of a limited edition than expected.
The critter-free line of footwear, announced by the longtime vegetarian back in January, was launched in February of this year to the delight of animal-loving fashionistas, but not so much to the credit-crunched masses—each pair retailed on average for $200.
However, Portman's line didn't fail on its own merits. Instead, it was a casualty of the folding of its parent company, Té Casan, which closed up shop for good last month.
The company's website, too, has wasted no time in closing down. It's unclear whether Portman will seek to continue her vegan venture with another partnership.

Coldplay, JoBros, Lil Wayne Up for Grammy Glory
Coldplay, the Jonas Brothers and Lil Wayne go together like, well, Grammy nominees, of course.
The acts all scored top nominations tonight for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.
Coldplay and Lil Wayne notched Album of the Year nods for Viva La Vida and Tha Carter III, respectively. Ne-Yo (Year of the Gentleman) and fun-music couple Alison Krauss and Robert Plant (Raising Sand) also were nominated. Radiohead rounded out the category with a nod for In Rainbows, thus potentially causing Grammy-scoring headaches for people who think Radiohead is Coldplay or vice versa.
Lil Wayne led all artists with eight nominations. Coldplay scored seven. And not that Kanye West pays attention to such things, but he did well to pick up six, as did Ne-Yo and Jay-Z.
The Jonas Brothers made their mark in the Best New Artist category.
Taylor Swift Gets Zip—and Other Grammy Surprises
John Mayer has a reason to get a date (like he needs one). Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus have a shared reason to grouse. Jennifer Hudson has a reason to smile.
We've outlined the top Grammy nominations. Now we're going to sort through all the Grammy nominations—the noteworthy, the weird, and, yes, the snubs. Here goes:
- Mayer earned his annual ticket to the Grammy party with five nominations, including one for his non-euphemistic duet with Alicia Keys ("Lesson Learned," up for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals), and one for his artistic contribution to The Bucket List ("Say," up for best song written for a movie).
- Swift cohosted the "nominations concert," watched ex-Joe Jonas and his brothers score a Best New Artist nod—and got nothing. Not a single nomination. (Her just-released album Fearless wasn't eligible, but some of her earlier released songs were.)
Complete List of Nominees for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards
It will be a big night for hip-hop, with Lil Wayne leading the pack heading into the 51st Annual Grammy Awards with eight nominations, including Album of the Year for Tha Carter III. Coldplay is right up there with seven nods, while Jay-Z, Kanye West and Ne-Yo each scored six.
The Grammys will be handed out Feb. 8 in Los Angeles.
Here's the complete list of nominations:
Anne Heche Expecting a Baby With Trees Beau
Anne Heche may not have Men in Trees but she has babies coming out of the woodwork.
The 39-year-old actress, fresh from a rather nasty custody battle, is expecting her first child with boyfriend James Tupper, 43, according to Heche's rep, who told Us Weekly the couple "are thrilled."
Each was still married when they met in 2006 on the Vancouver set of ABC's Men in Trees, which lasted two seasons. They debuted as a couple shortly after Heche filed for divorce from her hubby of more than five years, Coley Laffoon, in February 2007.
Before finally settling their differences in June, the estranged exes traded barbs galore as they fought over custody of their now 6-year-old son, Homer, with Laffoon objecting to the boy spending too much time in Vancouver with mom and her new beau.
When asked last year whether she was open to having more children, Heche told Extra, "Gotta leave it open, ya know what I'm saying?"

Mark Ruffalo's Brother Shot in the Head, Hospitalized
Mark Ruffalo's younger brother has been hospitalized in Los Angeles and listed in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to his head early Monday morning.
Beverly Hills Police confirm that the incident, which took place at Scott Ruffalo's apartment, was "suspicious," but they have yet to classify the tragic event as a criminal occurrence.
"Our detectives will not say if it was a shooting," Beverly Hills Police Department spokesman Tony Lee told E! News. "All we can say is that we are investigating some suspicious circumstance that [occurred] early Monday morning."
Who Drew a Smaller Crowd: Rosie or Ellen?
OK, let's get the easy stuff out of the way: What was TV's most watched show last week? The Dancing With the Stars finale, duh.
But with Grey's Anatomy in reruns, what was the No. 1 show among the demographically desirable? Whose variety special played to the smaller house: Rosie O'Donnell or Ellen DeGeneres'? And which former CW show killed the CW?

Kelly Ripa and Hubby Nix Split Story, Rip Enquirer a New One
The National Enquirer has "reached a new low," according to Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa.
An attorney for the comely couple has demanded a retraction from the tabloid for a story that claims their 12-year marriage is on the skids and Consuelos has ditched their family's New York abode for a new setup in Chicago.
"Ms. Ripa and Mr. Consuelos are and remain happily married and living together at their home in New York City," read the cease-and-desist missive penned by NYC-based lawyer Michael P. Zweig. (View the letter.)
Not only did the Enquirer go to press after being told that the story was false, Zweig wrote, but the rag's "front page and inner headlines and accompanying story are ridiculous and represent little more than a cynical and malicious attempt to injure my clients and their family, to boost flagging circulation, and to trade off of the good reputation, image and deserved celebrity of my clients."
